NEW DATA CHANGES being added to FP17s from 1 December 2021.

FP17O validation rules
From 1 February 2022, FP17O validation rules will again apply for the following:

Mandatory presence of Patient’s Email Address and Mobile Phone No, or the presence of the Patient Declined boxes.

Mandatory NHS Number (zeros are acceptable).

Commissioner Approved indicator mandatory on assessment claims for any patients aged 18 or over at Date of Referral.

IOTN mandatory on all assessment claims (IOTN NA is not acceptable on Assess/Appliance Fitted claims).

Aesthetic Component is mandatory on all Assess/Appliance Fitted claims.

IOTN mandatory on all orthodontic conclusion claims (IOTN NA is not acceptable on Treatment Completed).

Treatment Proposed indicator must be present on Assess/Appliance Fitted claims.

Treatment Completed/Abandoned/Discontinued indicator is mandatory on orthodontic conclusion claims.
